Little electric car Colibri set for production
If there’s one means of transportation that is going to be most popular in the future, it will be electric cars. And in all the electric cars, the German one seated electric car might be one of the best as it is an excellent option for inner city travelling. Why is it so good? Because it looks good, the car is designed around a hybrid style frame and has “gullwing styled” doors; not only the doors are high on style, they also provide you protection against the wind and snow. The car is also very cute and compact weighing just 440 kg and measuring about 9 ft. Now no more struggling to park the car, two Colibri can easily fit into one parking space.
Not only it looks good, but it is powerful too. The car runs on a 50 KW electric motor, the battery capacity of the car is 6.5 kWh, it can attain a top speed of 75 mph, 65 mph in just 9.9 seconds and can go around 68 miles on a full charge. The battery can be fully charged within 2 and half hours from a home outlet.
Colibri is eco-friendly, small and powerful boon for going to nearby places, it’s no wonder that already 1,200 private customers have ordered the car. Also, more than 150 car dealers from around the world-Europe, Brazil, US, Israel, Australia, have given applications so that they can sell Colibri. The small wonder car will be available for test drive and pre orders this year; it will enter series production in 2016.
