While Samsung and LG wooed us with their 100 inch televisions at the CES this year, they were just prototypes designed to showcase the company’s technological abilities. Though you cant get the 100 inch model yet, LG has delivered the largest Plasma for retail measuring 71 inches and offering 1080p HD resolution. The MW71PY10 LG’s XD engine takes the low resolution of analog signals to near HD levels by improving brightness, contrast, detail and color and reducing signal noise as well. It has a display resolution of 1920 x 1080p, contrast ratio of 1200:1 and a viewing angle of 160o.

The LG MW71PY10 sells for $ 28,399 maybe it will drop to 15k when the Playstation 3 releases.
