LG confirms G Pro 2 phablet to arrive in February
by Sayan ChakravartyWithout much fanfare or divulging all the details, LG officially announced that the successor to the LG Optimus G Pro will be unveiled in February and confirmed it to be named as the LG G Pro 2. But the South Korean tech giant did not confirm the exact date of launch and just said that the wraps will be off in the month of February. The flagship phablet is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress scheduled for the next month in Barcelona. Without much surprises, LG stuck with its nomenclature norm and left out the ‘Optimus’ from the name.
The company left out all the rest of the details including the specs and launch-details from the announcement and just confirmed the name of the device. This isn’t the first time the South Korean company has pulled off a similar trick and LG announced the G2 in a similar fashion. The purported phablet is expected to come with the latest hardware but what’s interesting is that the current flagship by LG, LG G2, also sports the best hardware and nothing much has changed since it was launched.
