LG Electronics has introduced a new model ‘VR6370VMNC’ of its automated vacuum cleaner range ‘Roboking’. The fourth-generation Roboking vacuum cleaner was released in Seol, South Korea and has received many changes as upgrades from the previous version. The most noticeable change in the robot vacuum cleaner by LG is its shape; it has been shaped a little more square-ish than its round shaped predecessor for better cleaning abilities near the corners. But the major changes are hidden as software and hardware upgrades to the new Roboking. The new model can be completely controlled by smartphones using its dedicated app ‘LG Smart roboking 2.0’.

With the help of the new app, users can easily control the robot vacuum cleaner remotely using a smartphone. The user can update the cleaning logs maintained by the app after returning home. Using the smart control feature of the smartphone app, users can also feed in manual operation settings and can use all the features of the device even without the remote. The cleaning courses can easily be changed and updated and the Roboking now can accept 12 different voice commands. Another new feature of the new model is the smart diagnostics; it can identify different problems in the unit and prompt in on the smartphone eliminating the need of taking it to a service center for basic check.
