Japan’s KDDi to launch an Android 4.0 powered set top box

KDDI’s President today announced the ‘Smart TV Box’ which looks a lot like the Nintendo Wii. The Android – Ice Cream Sandwich powered set up box will be made available to a select set of customers for testing this summer. The company will be also launching services, similar to the iCloud but will be focused on sharing TV programs and other content across other Android and media devices. More details when the Smart TV Box hits the Japanese market.
