The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sells without binding carrier contract

by Gareth Mankoo

If the only reason you weren’t opting for the all new iPhone was the constraining 2-year contract that came with it, then here’s your moment of closure. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus now retail in SIM-free versions. T-Mobile’s 2-year contract was a mandate as well. With the freedom to choose the plan of your preference, the chances of a slight bump in iPhone 6 sales is most likely. While this was coming for a while now, it did take longer than most previous iPhone renditions that made it to the plan-free zone.

The 16GB SIM-free version sits lowest in the price range and commences from $649 while the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus is the most expensive at $949. So, feel free and enjoy your iPhone on a carrier that you prefer. On the Apple Store reads also highlights the benefit of a carrier-free phone while travelling abroad.
