Intel’s Netbook is official and called 2go PC
Putting rumors to rest, Intel has finally announced its 2go PC that is being manufactured by PC builder CTL. According to the gripe, this education-oriented budget laptop will feature an Intel Celeron M, a 915GMS graphics chipset, 512MB of included DDR2 memory that is upgradable to 1GB, and the PC features 40GB of storage. Specs also include wireless 802.11b/g connectivity, an 800×600 pixel screen (standard), 1-watt stereo speakers powered by a Realtek ALC6555 audio system. 2 USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 BaseT Ethernet connectivity, microphone/headphone connectors, and a built-in SD/MMC card reader are also included.
The CTL will sell the 2go PC for about $400, and will see distribution within two months.
