Intel CE5300 media processor announced

Everyone’s eyes are focused on the portable device and PC processors that Intel are promising to unleash. But the chip giants have plans of their own and they are carrying them out fervently, as we can see with the release of the Intel CE5300 media processor. The 32nm dual-core processor also packs support for hyper-threading and virtualization. Additionally it also handles hardware accelerated 2D and 3D graphics and H.264 too.

The Intel CE5300 media processor seems like it can find itss place in Internet-enabled televisions, DVRs and VoIP devices.
