Huawei Ascend II available for $130 sans contract, from Cricket Wireless

There are some Android phones that make it into a league of luxuries and some that deserve to be nominated as the people’s phone! That’s what the Huawei Ascend II aims to be. In partnership with Cricket Wireless, the handset makes it to our midst armed with Android Gingerbread 2.3. It will also pack a powerful 600MHz processor, Ascend’s 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7200A processor, a capable 5-megapixel shooter that grabs videos at a decent resolution as well.

All in all, the Ascend II is a mighty improvement as against the Ascend that was a pretty ordinary phone. You can pick this one for $130 (without a contract) from Cricket’s website. From retailers the price shoots up to $180.
