HTC First launched on AT&T to come with Facebook Home and LTE

We brought you the news of a rumoured smartphone called HTC First a few days back, yesterday the phone was officially launched by HTC and AT&T (jointly). Most of the features that were leaked were accurate including the colours of the body-shell. HTC First will be the first handset to be shipped with Facebook Home, which was also launched yesterday at Facebook’s press event, and will be available in 4 colours. The smartphone has a 4.3” display, Qualcomm Spandragon 400 dual-core processor and AT&T’s 4G LTE. The phone will host Android Jelly Bean 4.1, Facebook’s new Home app will be pre-installed in the OS. The phone is open for pre-order and will be available by 12 April for $99.99 with a two year contract.


Facebook Home which was launched by Mark Zuckerberg yesterday, the app will be available to other Android users (Jelly Bean and Ice Cream Sandwich only) and your phone won’t need a forked or modified version of Android. Facebook promised to update the app every month adding new features to it.
