HP introduces Link-5 technology that replaces USB dongles with wireless input devices

by Gareth Mankoo

HP are on a roll in the PC accessory department of theirs. Their new Link-5 technology has brought forth some exciting accessories. These come in as a line of devices under this new label. How these devices work seamlessly together is what gives the substance over competitive offerings. For instance, you can free up your USB ports by using a single receiver for all your HP Link-5 accessories that connect wirelessly to it. Logitech’s offering quickly comes to mind since even it uses 2.4GHz RF signal. You can support up to five devices using a single dongle as the input option.

HP have made available two keyboards called the Wireless Mini ($60) and the Ultrathin Wireless ($50) for now. There are new mice too.
