Honeycomb-special Swype 3.0 Beta for better layout, text input

by Gareth Mankoo

Swype’s input system has always left us satisfied, with some fantastic navigation via touchscreen and text input. Now, there’s an upgrade all ready to take us by storm. This special upgrade, called the Swype 3.0 will take over the tablets that run Android Honeycomb. The WXGA version we have here will present users with a movable and resizable layout. This includes better word correction for times when you want to go back to a word you’ve typed and edit it. A horizontal bar with word suggestions makes predictive text input more convenient as well.

The Swype 3.0 for Android Honeycomb tablets is downloadable from beta.swype.com. Suddenly, we’re talking Honeycomb again!
