Here’s your chance to float in space with Ghost In The Shell

by Shalu Pillai

If you would like a feel of cyberspace, here’s your chance. Until April 19th, visitors to Shibuya’s Parco department store can be part of the promotions for the 3D release of “Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society.” A large game booth has been installed that allows players to float in space. Using Microsoft Kinect sensors, players can use gesture movement to travel through space as they chase Tachikoma. Controls involve the whole range of movements from twisting and turning and moving forward and back and an arm movement to zap and capture the characters.

With an installed wrap around screen, the space-effect is pretty real. Check out the video and if you think you fancy that spin, head to the 5th floor of Parco, Shibuya in the S.A.C Premium Shop.
