Good old telephone booth hooks up to Skype for video calls and more

by Gavril Mankoo

Skype has made the world a smaller place to live in. this is arguably true indeed, given that the revolutionary VoIP service has made calling, chatting and video-calling all over the world, a piece of cake with a cherry on top. Prof. Michael Shaughnessy has come up with a telephone booth in old British style that keeps up with time, using an iPad 2 hooked on to Skype, allowing for video calls too. International calls can indeed cost a bomb these days, and using an unlimited VoIP as such works beneficial, particularly for those studying and working away from home.

And the best part of it all is the fact that this booth provides for a bit more privacy than you’d have while using Skype back in your dorm room, with your roommates playing beer pong in the background.
