Gigabyte GSmart q60: Feel the Dots

by Dhiram Shah

The Gigabyte GSmart q60 is a smart phone with a difference, and unlike almost every other difference, this one is truly unique. The phone comes with some awesome specs that any smartphone buyer would consider awesome. But what makes this one little more ‘diverse’ is the QWERTY keypad. It has a dotted texture and feel on the keypad. They look like Lego blocks placed at distant intervals. That’s what makes this a little weird to touch. The rest of the specs are pretty cool. The phone runs on Windows Mobile 6 OS and is driven by Intel PXA270 520 MHz processor. The LCD display is a good 2.5 inches for easy and comfortable viewing. It also has a 2.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus and Bluetooth and USB2.0. There however are rumors that the GSmart q60 will come packed with Mobile TV and GPS.

The GSmart q60 was announced at the 3GSM summit. More on pricing and availability is yet to come in.
