Fujitsu presents F704i world’s slimmest waterproof mobile
by deepa
I think this one is ideal for folks living in tropical locations where it rains and rains and rains. Why else would anyone go for a cell phone that has ‘waterproof’ as its key selling point? Well Fujitsu has launched the sleek F704i that can stand to be under a few feet of water for up to a half hour. Incase you drop it in a pool or puddle or in the ocean……you know how much time you have to rescue your cell phone before its gives up. Touted as the worlds slimmest …..just 1.8cm thick,it also packs a music player, microSD card slot, 1.3MP camera, 2.2-inch QVGA LCD display and 3G connectivity. The in built “bath massage” program might explain why you would need a water resistant phone. And in keeping with the Japanese desire for privacy, the phone locks up the data stored in it every time it is closed, and incorporates an IC lock function.
The colors and the case, which illuminates to show incoming calls, time and date, etc., have been chosen by a “color therapist” to enhance your mood and promote healing. How touchy!
