Fujitsu has come up with a new waterproof 10.1-inch tablet named “Arrows Tabs F-02F” in Japan with NTT DoCoMo. The tablet is equipped with LTE 4.2 and comes with a quad-core 2.2 GHz (MSM8974) processor and 2 GB RAM. The internal memory of the slate is 64 GB but can be increased with the help of Micro SD card. Other features include 1.3 MP camera, NFC, 1Seg TV tuner, and Bluetooth 4.0. The tablet sports a WQXGA 10.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels with a “Xevic” video engine.

The rugged tablet is water and dust proof with a rating of IPX5/8 and IP5X respectively. The massive 9600mAh battery along with other power saving features gives the tablet enough juice to power it for 1450 hours in LTE, about 1500 hours in 3G, about 1250 hours in GSM. Another nifty feature of the tablets is the fingerprint sensor mounted on the front of the tablet. Along with basic authentication unlock feature, the fingerprint sensor can be assigned to different profiles and be used to switch between adult and child mode. The Fujitsu F-02F tablet will be available for ¥ 20,000 ($200 approx) on contract basis and will hit the market shelves by mid-December.
