Foxconn’s low power Nano PC desktop doesn’t need fans
The Nano PC Desktop may not give you the elaborate pleasures of a typical, picturesque desktop system, but it does make it easier to cut down on your power consumption. The first of the two models is the AT-5300 that packs a 2.13GHz Intel Atom D2700 dual-core processor. The other is the 1.65GHz AMD E450 dual-core CPU enabled AT-5600. Both computers will consume less that 24W of power. You will need to add your own storage, memory and operating system in these devices.
The systems will come with 4GB RAM, 2.5-inch drive bays, Wi-Fi as well as HDMI, VGA, and USB 2 and 3 ports. It’s rumored that these PCs will go on sale, whenever, for less than $200. Now that’s a good, eco-friendly gamble that may pay off.
