Ford supports federal ban on texting while driving
Ford Motor Company has become the first automobile maker that is endorsing a federal ban on sending text messages while driving. Ford has issued a statement in support of the ban which was proposed by Senator Charles E Schumer who had said that 25% will be cut from the highway financing given to states who do not comply with this law. But the ban will not affect the use Ford’s in-car communication and entertainment system, which is the Ford Sync which allows most mobiles to be used hands-free and they also read messages aloud to the driver. I am sure now this will be like an advertisement for Ford and soon you will have the others following suit. Good move Ford!
