LG has announced the launch of its third generation (WCDMA) DMB phones. This one will support GSM, GPRS and WCDMA thus making it compatible with European networks. Not just content with being the first DMB phone to enter the west, the handset even enjoys the popular screen rotating form factor (this one is very useful in DMB phones since it allows the display to go horizontal – allowing us to enjoy TV as in the traditional manner). The handset is capable says LG of playing DMB for 3 hours constantly. For maximum viewing pleasure, the phone has been equipped with a 2.2 inch TFT LCD as well as a high definition graphics chip for clear viewing. LG Electronics plans to release this WCDMA DMB phones in IFA 2005 exhibition in Germany as well as in World Cup 2006 in Europe. Phoneyworld
