by Shalu Pillai

Eye-Fi, that company that let’s you send images from your camera to your computer wirelessly, just announced an upgrade to their software product. While the Eye-Fi is already pretty useful for when using your laptop, but this super easy send-to-device feature now lets you up the card ahead of time for Direct Mode, and it learns to use an ad-hoc wi-fi network to send your pictures directly to your iOS or Android device. An advantage is that it allows you to use your other device as a secondary memory card. The new 8GB X2 Mobile cards with Direct Mode are priced $80, or if you have an X2 card, an upload can be download later this week.
