Explosive holograms to curb piracy
Piracy is a concern all around the world and German scientists have invented an explosive method to print holograms to help curb piracy. This unique hologram is achieved with the help of nano-technology and a process that uses a thin film of explosives to imprint holograms directly onto metal surfaces. This method imprints every detail of the original film onto the metal surface and makes it hard, where it lasts permanently. These complex holograms cannot be copied even if identical templates are used. If widely adopted, this method will definitely help curb piracy, which currently accounts to for approximately 10 per cent of total world trade volume.
