D-Links CES line up will have ‘boxes’ and ‘bridges’
by Gareth MankooWe’ve seen the Boxee Box recently, so we have a brief idea of what D-link have up their sleeves. It had some good media browsing capabilities coupled with network and HDMI connectivity. More revelations include another contemporary of the Box called the ‘Pebble’. It will support Wi-fi connectivity, connectivity with computers, USB drives, networks, memory cards and even the Internet. Others include the ‘Rush’, which will be classified as an Xtreme N 600 Duo HD MediaBridge that will support Wi-fi and will provide with speeds of up to 600 Mbps. Finally, we have the ‘Touch’ that comes with dual-band connections and speeds of up to 450 Mbps. It will be armed with a 3” touchscreen that will help users configure without a computer.
We will have to wait for CES to set our eyes on these. However, the price and availability of the Pebble, Rush and Touch have yet to be announced.
