CRT time tellers for $999
by Gareth Mankoo
The idea behind these cool cathode ray watches from Cathode Corner laboratories is pretty novel. It does remind me of the good old radium watches that were a fad of the last few decades. The watch in this case is in a 3×8 inch acrylic case with a CRT forming its tail. Creator, David Forbes, has designed the watch finely enough to blend in with both, retro and regular styled surroundings. The display can be changed from analog to digital and vice versa. It is a perfect way to spice up a nerds table with all the retro looks and hey, it’s got the technology in it too.
The Cathode Ray Tube watch costs a whopping $999 and will be available in a limited edition. It also has its share of knobs to turn around and do the necessary settings. And if that’s not enough to keep your idle hands busy then have a shot at the included GPS.
