CLX-70 iPod/iPhone Dock from Kenwood packs in quite a lot of functionality inside a neat frame
Kenwood has announced 3 new iPod/iPhone docks for their Japanese fans in the CLX-70 series. This model, aside from looking quite suave isn’t just for docking your Apple device. No Siree, it’s got a built-in CD slot as well located at the top. For even more media connectivity the CLX-70 series even offers USB and memory card slots. Some of the other features include a Sleep mode to auto shut off, a full function remote control that allows you to control your iPod/iPhone while docked. It supports iPhone, iPod iPhone 3G/3GS/4, iPod touch, iPod nano and the iPod Classic models. The CD player is also capable of reading CD-R/RW discs with MP3 and WMA formats on board. The same formats can also be played off of a memory card (SD) or a thumb drive.
It’s equipped with a 70mm full range unit and a DTS Envelo Speaker for 3D surround effect with what’s called D-BASS as an EQ preset. An AM/FM radio with analogue input is also on board. The CLX-70 is available in three color options – pink (P), white (W), black (B). The White and Black models will only be available sometime in Jan of next year but t he Pink will be out later this month. So if you’re thinking of color coding, you just might have to wait a bit. The CLX-70 has a price tag of 35,000 Yen or $416 (US).
