CES: Polaroid M7, M10 Android tablets may rival Nexus line

by Gareth Mankoo

Polaroid is growing in confidence, entering the old world ethos into the new world order for gizmos. They have made their presence felt with their Android cameras that stared the Galaxy Camera in the eye, for a bit. Then comes the company’s bold venture into the Android tablet space, with the M7 and M10 shown off at CES. The 7-inch and 10-inch tablets will come packed with 1280 x 800-pixel IPS displays, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a microSD slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The difference being that the 7-inch one will have a dual core CPU and 8GB internal storage, while the 10-inch model will pack a quad-core CPU, 16GB storage, HDMI and a 5-megapixel camera.

Where Polaroid really aims to pull the trigger is the pricing patch. The M7 will come for $129 while the M10 will arrive for $229. We can expect to be surprised this spring.
