CES 2014: Cat B100 IP67-certified rugged phone will survive!

by Gareth Mankoo

It’s been so long we’ve reviewed a rugged phone! Feels good to see the likes of Cat rolling out an option that is strength-wise as potent as most of the leading rugged phones we have reviewed in the past. Called the Cat B100, the phone is IP67 certified. It offers MIL 810G protection to all the vital information and data you carry on it, irrespective of the abuse you inflict on it. The B100 can survive dust, immersion at depths of up to 3 feet and extreme temperate changes. The features include a 2.2-inch 240 x 320 display, proprietary OS, a 3-megapixel camera on board, low storage space, which is made up by microSD cards (up to 32GB).

The dimensions of the Cat B100 are 123 x 56 x 17.5mm and it weighs 136g. So adventurers and those who work in rough conditions could totally do with one of these. There’s no word on the price as yet.
