Casio’s new 2 inch display has a resolution of 960×540. The next iPhone will be full HD
Casio has managed to squeeze in so many pixels in to a 2 inch TFT LCD that it delivers a resolution of 960×540 pixels. Just to give you an idea the iPhone’s 3.5 inch display has a resolution of 320×480 pixels. Casio has developed the new LCD using HAST (Hyper Amorphous Silicon TFT) technology which gives the screen a viewing angle of 160 degrees and the ability to show 16.7 million colors. Casio is tight lipped on the availability as the technology is still in its infancy. But by 2010 we will surely be watching HD content on our mobile phones in their true pixely glory.
