Every watch aficionado who occasionally leaves his/her urban abode for a more rocky terrain is familiar with Casio’s G-Shock watches. These watches are like the cockroaches of the insect world in a post-apocalyptic world and a re know to survive the harshest bumps and drops. Now, Casio has decided to up its game and has launched the G’Mix Rotary Switch BLE, GBA400, with a rotary switch that’s capable of enhancing a user’s music listening experience! To do this, the swanky new G-Shock pairs with smartphones and gives users control on audio controls. As if that’s not all, a user can also add live effects to the music being listened to.

The rotary switch added to this timepiece allows users to quickly flick through music playlists. Apart from this, the dial can also be used as a volume control and sound effect modifier. Apart from being a portable DJ strapped on to your wrist, the new G-Shock is shock resistance and water resistance to 200 meters. This one’s complete with a Super Illuminator LED, World Time (100 Cities + UTC), 5 Daily Alarms (1SNZ), 1/100th Sec Stop Watch, 1/10th Sec. Countdown Time, 12/24 hr formats and a Mute Function, all tucked neatly inside a 51.9mm case size. Casio has stayed mum in regards to the pricing details for now.
