Boeing 787 Dreamliner introduced Android-powered in-flight entertainment
by Gareth MankooThe majestic build of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner can give many aeronautic fans a reason to drool. Yet, we see that there never is enough that can be done with a Boeing. Now, the company is offering the Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system that makes use of Android. A Qatar Airways plane is the ideal model of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with the business class getting 17-inch and economy class getting 10-inch touch screen IEFCs (in-flight entertainment and connectivity). On the inside, these are enabled with STMicro dual-core ARM CPUs, 1GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and Android 2.0/3.0 options. Amidst all the generous features I still wonder about the acronym not being IFEC.
