BMW’s SXSW announcement brings Stitcher streaming into cars

by Gareth Mankoo

The Stitcher streaming service is quite well known among those who use iPhone apps to the fullest. Now automaker giants are taking that very magic and integrating it with the innards of their cars. Now we can look forward to BMW apps and Mini connected technologies. Engadget managed to salvage a demo of the Stitcher app in a BMW 650i convertible. Maximum features that can be found in the iPhone version, reside in this app and offer users a more enjoyable driving experience.

This, coming in light with recent reports that infotainment systems in cars are a cause for distraction is quite ironic. Who gives a hoot if it’s so cool, BMW must believe.
