Balancing Design

by Dhiram Shah

The problem with a stainless steel cup is that you can’t see inside it, so you never know it’s empty until you lift it up to take a drink. The Balance Cup, designed by Carl Martens, bypasses this design obstacle through a slight variation in weight between opposite sides of the cup. When the cup is full, it stands straight up; as it empties, the weight of its heavier side exposes the empty space. Aside from this neat functionality, the cup is also constructed with double walls to keep liquids at their proper temperatures. Via – Productdose
