Asus G71 the Portable Gaming Goddess
The new G71 is claimed to be the world’s first Intel Quad Core gaming notebook, packing in the new Intel quad-core QX9300 (2.53GHz) Extreme processor. The Laptop features a 17-inch Crystal Shine display with a quick response time of 8ms, powered by the Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT GDDR3 512MB graphics card. 2GB Intel Turbo Memory module, this is over and above the 4GB DDR3 RAM. For storage the dual hard drives in RAID counting up to 1TB should suffice. Users can also select from three different processor speed settings using the Direct Console 2.0 interface. The same interface also includes controls for Direct Messenger, enabling communication utilities such as Instant Messaging, meeting and email notifications.
The Asus G71 also has Altec Lansing speakers that are sure to blow your opponents away with Dolby Home Theater and a 2.0-megapixel webcam for opponents to watch your victory dance. If that’s not all, these laptop series all feature integrated Blu-ray drives, will debut during the first week of November for around $2,999.
