Apple to introduce iPod volume limiter
After facing lawsuits in the US about iPod related hearing damages. Apple is releasing a software update which allows users to set a maximum volume limit. Meaning you can set it so your iPod can’t get any louder than a certain pre-defined level. If your kid is crazy about rock music then you can lock the volume setting with a 4 digit combination code. The new update will work with iPod Nano and iPod Video only.
iPod Software Update 1.1.1 which provides the maximum volume limit functionality can be downloaded from apple.com/sound
