Apple steps up sustainable efforts, shows 75% renewable energy consumption
Apple have done their time, foraging for renewable, sustainable energy solutions to power up their processes. However, the company has hit a new high with the claim that 75% of their complete energy consumption is from renewable sources. Peter Oppenheimer informed Reuters this week the company’s critical data centers work on such sustainable energy models from onsite as well as local sources. This could include everything from solar, win, hydro and geothermal energy. Apple could use this as a massive improvement from the previous 40 percent that they clocked two years ago.
That’s not all. The brilliant determination that has taken Apple the places it is today means that they just wouldn’t stop. They are gunning for a 100% renewable energy model. As a group competitor, we have seen Samsung drive a similar endeavor but we’re yet to land on some final numbers.
