Leaks suggest Apple’s Healthbook app will be a complete game changer

Details including screenshots of the long-rumored Healthbook app, which is considered to be the most important iOS 8 app, were leaked a few days back which gives us a hint on what we can expect in the foreseeable future. The report on the app published by 9to5Mac details almost everything about the Healthbook app though information on iOS 8 won’t be made official by Apple until summer this year when the new OS will be unveiled at the annual WWDC conference in San Francisco. The health and fitness-tracking app has a design that resembles that of Passbook app and will be able to analyze everything from activity and heart rate to blood oxygen levels and much more.
The several detailed screenshots of the Healthbook app gives a clear idea of what Apple is developing. Using the app, users will be able to enter able to their weight, food intake, activity, and sleep habits and analyze a lot of intricate parameters including blood work like blood pressure and blood sugar levels. How exactly will Apple source all the information real-time is still unknown. But additionally, the hot topic at the moment is the app’s integration with the purported iWatch which will compete with Samsung’s Gear. Given the breadth of data and capabilities Healthbook might include, the app seems like a game changer months before it is actually introduced.
