Alcatel One Touch unveils the world’s thinnest smartphone, the 6.5mm-thin Idol Ultra

by Gavril Mankoo

Alcatel has sneaked up on the world’s biggest smartphone manufacturers including Samsung, Apple and HTC and has pulled the veil off the world’ thinnest smartphone. Called the Idol Ultra, this impeccably thin smartphone by Alcatel One Touch measures just 6.45 mm! But its slimness hasn’t kept technology at bay and the phone includes a 4.7-inch HD OLED display.

Running Android 4.1, the Idol Ultra also includes an 8-megapixel camera and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. Apart from that, this phone performs exceptionally well and slides into most pockets without so much of a hitch, thanks to its extreme thinness! However, those looking to pick up this phone in the United States are bound to be subjected to sheer disappointment as the phone will not hit US shores due to FCC regulations.
