Acer’s dual-screen tablet ‘Iconia’ up for pre-order
by Gareth MankooAcer is giving us more than we could expect from a regular tablet with a dual-screen delight. The 14-inch Iconia tablet flaunts two screens of the same size with the insides running Intel’s Core i5 processor, Intel’s HD Graphics, 4GB of RAM, 640GB HDD, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI and a 1.3-megapixel camera to top it all. It will run the almost-getting-too-old-to-be-allowed Windows 7 platform. To allow you to type, the lower display converts into a virtual keyboard or text input device. You can accordingly control the content on the top screen.
The Iconia shot to fame at CES after it was adjudged as the ‘last gadget standing’. It is now available for pre-order at $1,199.
