A treadmill that simulates mountain slopes?

Yes, they have gone that far in fitness technology and have used it effectively too. This cool treadmill, called the NordicTrack X7i Incline Trainer, downloads maps via Wi-fi from a website called iFit. You can pick some interesting jogging trails like San Fransico’s Golden Gate and even terrains that are covered by Google Maps. A cool 7 inch screen acts as a window to your simulated world that passes by. The best feature of this treadmill is its ability to tilt the running surface by 40 degrees upward. This is to simulate hilly terrains that are detected in the map.

Just make sure you don’t fall off this one. Another advantage of the NordicTrack X7i Incline Trainer is that it sends your workout data to the Internet.
