36,000 HP Jet powered truck is the world’s fastest
by Dhiram ShahShockwave as this triple jet-engine truck is called holds the Guinness record for the world’s fastest truck. It is powered by three Pratt & Whitney J34-48 engines, also used in the U.S. Navy’s T2A Buckeye plane which deliver 36,000 HP and shoot the car to a top speed of 376 miles per hour (605 kph). The truck consumes 400 gallons per mile during a race and each tyre sheds 85 pounds of tread, Shockwave accelerates from 0 to 300 mph in under 11 seconds.
