$1 billion Star Trek linked resort to come up in Jordan

Trekkies worldwide have another reason to rejoice. The Rubicon Group Holding has announced plans to design and produce The Red Sea Astrarium (TRSA), a 184-acre themed entertainment resort located in Aqaba, Jordan and its key which will feature a Star-Trek–inspired attraction. Developed by Paramount Recreation, the themed entertainment destination will is not just fantasy-world, but will serve as a model for “green energy,” incorporating state-of-the-art renewable technologies throughout the facility, and a “future” pavilion where businesses, students and attendees can learn about alternative energy sources ranging from solar and wind energy to greywater harvesting. The Star Trek-themed centre itself will bring to guests a variety of multi-sensory 23rd-century experiences, culminating with a state-of-the art space-flight adventure that takes real-time immersive entertainment experiences to bold new heights.Watch out Disney parks, this one looks like its ready to deliver an out-of-this-space experience!
