Zacuto Base Kit turns a dSLR camera into a Hollywood steady cam
It was never imagined that film makers would be inclined in using a dSLR camera to make movies, but since that has happened the practicality of a shoulder bound steady rig has become a reality. Designed to be used with the Canon's 5D Mark II and Nikon D90. The Zacuto Base plate kits are designed to turn any dSLR camera into a steady cam that is balanced by counterweights at the back an adjustable shoulder pad and a LCD monitor in the front.
The Zacuto rig was designed by Steve Weiss and Jens Bogehegn the unit costs around $5200, and is available in five kits which include different components such as base plates, grips, and shoulder/tripod mounts.
