Yubi-Nya the ring remote control

yubi-nya_cat_ring.jpg The Japanese Automotive parts supplier, Denso Corporation has come up with a unique remote control technology which only needs to be strapped to the user’s finger. Wearers of the ring can operate devices and control remote processes by just pressing two fingers together, called the Yubi-Nya which are the Japanese words for “ring” and “meow”. The device can detect tiny electrical currents going around the body. To work, it generates a current that goes into the index finger. When you press your finger and thumb together, the ring detects a closed circuit and interprets it as a signal, sending a device a control order wirelessly.

Denso has demonstrated the device as a control for opening and closing the door of a model car, but see many more uses for their device in the future, such as a control for a music player.
