Inx Japan has announced the YouSD II series USB memory it will be available in 2GB, 1GB, 512MB and 256MB. As seen in the picture when the opposite side of the SD card is removed the USB 2.0 connector is seen. The USB connector can be pluged directly in the PC and the SD card can be used like a Flash drive. It supports plug and play so no drivers have to be installed. When the connector is plugeed in it can be used as a normal SD card. The transfer rate of the SD card is 20MB/sec. Transfer rate via the USB connector is 17 - 18MB/sec. It is compatible with Windows ME/2000/XP only. It measures 32 x 24 x 2.1mm and weighs 2.1 grams.

It will be available in Japan from December 15th. The 2GB version will sell for 31,800 Yen ($ 260), 1GB for 19,800 Yen ($ 160), 512MB for 9800 Yen ($ 75) and 256MB for 7980 Yen ($ 65).
