You may be suffering from Nomophobia (fear of no mobile)

nomophobia.jpg You may not really own up to it at first but if you give it a little thought, then you will realize you suffer from Nomophobia, a.k.a. the fear of being ‘cellphoneless’. As the name suggests, this phobia torments those who find it hard to live without your cellphone or if it is out of range. The fact that phone usage dictates and controls most of the activities we perform in the day like organizing meetings, keeping in touch with friends and family, texting your girl or simply playing music, tends to get us so addicted to the device that there’s no other means of survival that we can find without it. According to a research done in Britain, about 53% mobile phone users suffer from Nomophobia. The figures really surprise me. I was expecting a lot more people to be addicted to phones. Maybe back home, the research would yield different results.

According to the study, Nomophobia affects 48% women and 58% men. I guess men have more faith and dependencies on their gizmos and gadgets than women do.
