The Xpod Active Sound speaker system is not only portable but also cute. The grooves on the back of these babies have a purpose, you can crank in some coins make the speakers stand up a bit. The demure stance is thanks to its size, i.e. 3 inches long by 1.3 inches wide and 0.33 inches thick. But power is something you need not worry about. They host a pair of piezoelectric drivers that reproduces sound via the two-channel 770mW amplifier. The juice comes from a built-in battery that can be recharged via an included USB cable.

Xpod Active Sound come in red, black or white with a matching lanyard. It includes a cord with a 3.5mm stereo jack on either side to connect source devices via their headphone connections. Currently available in Korea, they will cost you about $17.
