World’s smallest Dragster is 50,000 times thinner than hair

nano-dragstar.jpg Now you know you’re on the ‘extremest extreme’ of our times. They’ve gone a long way in the past, but with the Nanodragster, the nanotechnology freaks have truly gone past the allowed insanity level. It’s said to be 50,000 times thinner than a single strand of human hair. It is driven using electricity or heat. The car mainly comprises of spherical molecules called buckyballs, made of 60 carbon atoms each serve as rear wheels. These wheels help the vehicle chemically grip the ‘dragstrip’. The front wheels are made of p-carborane.

Surely it looks crappy, more like a diseased octopus rather than any thing else. But imagine the records it’s broken. Smallest wheel-base, most inaccessible, lightest vehicle, etc.
