The Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver is all about what we make of our lovely audible gadgets. Leading the charge is the fantastic WES that comes in from Brooklyn’s Woo Audio. It is basically a headphone that uses a twin chassis amp with EL34 vacuum tubes that have a pair of Stax Omega SR-007 Mk2 electrostatic headphones. The best part is that it guarantees some pretty good sound. The worst part: it weighs a whole 40 pounds.

Since you cannot carry it around with you, you can well sit back and safely criticize the $4990 amp plus $2199 Stax headphone setup. We really need to check out Woo audio more in detail.
