Wii Woes: 10 Brits get hospitalized every week due to shoddy gameplay

nintendo-wii.jpg Just because you have a Wii fit or Sports that doesn't mean you are a pro. Agreed we heard some noise about a man claiming to lose weight using this platform, but that was a long time ago. The latest buzz according to The Sun is that gamers across Britain are reportedly landing up in hospital to get treated for Wii related injuries. This nifty lot is about 10 Wii users per week. Injuries like agonizing pain in the shoulders and knees are the most common complaints. Calling the incident Wii-itus and Wii-Knee, it is apparently being caused by making sudden movements in the tennis game and in Wii-Fit.

Tardy and out-of-shape gamers should first get into shape before venturing forth on Wii. According to Doctors, some potential problems later in life for Wii-itus sufferers include rheumatism, arthritis, and inflammation of the shoulder or wrist. Wii-knee in extreme cases can cause the kneecap to be dislocated or can even pop out.
