Ever since the introduction of the gaming console, it has predominantly had male fans. But it seems recently, the Wii has noticed a five percent increase in its female console gamers this year. The company that did the research said that that there ‘was a "transformative" one in terms of "defining the audience for gaming"’. Another thing they noticed was that gamers spent 38 percent of their time playing online titles, while 16 percent of games purchased in the fourth quarter of last year were downloaded digitally.

And something ground-breaking has been found - the average number of gamers willing to pay for all types of micro-transactions has decreased. Yeah, it’s inevitable but they have to look all legal, don’t they. Well, this is good news and bad news I feel. For one, girls will now start annoying the crap out of guys when they remain obsessed with their game and the bad news is that… the girls will be ‘obsessed’. Any obsession for women is extremely dangerous to her and her surroundings.
